Time is running out to get involved in the biggest gundog championship there is! If you fancy your chances and you think your dog has what it takes in some traditional scurries and Working Test, why not sign up and have a go!
The Midland Game Fair in September not only welcomes the Grand Final on the Sunday of the Show, the Saturday also gives handlers and competitors one last chance to see if they can qualify for the final too.
On the Saturday of the event, competitors and spectators can look forward to a return of popular favourites including Up ‘n’ Over, Long Retrieve, Short Fence, Duck Distraction, Pick ‘n’ Mix as well as the Working Test, where gundogs will be put through a series of challenging trials and will get to showcase their incredible level of skill and aptitude as they complete each task. Those that qualify will then be entered into the Grand Final, which takes place on the Sunday.
The most anticipated Grand Final on the Sunday will play host to all qualifiers from all previous Countryman Fairs events, in an ultimate Finale where the winner will be crowned the 2018 Champion as well as awarded a £2,000 cash prize, an engraved trophy and rosette.
The last qualifying round in the Chudleys Gundog Championship will take place at the Midland Game Fair on Saturday 15th September only, with the Grand Final taking place on the Sunday of the event.
To get involved in all of the action, just turn up and sign up, it really is that simple! Re-entries are also permitted in the gundog events, so don’t worry if you get the odd slow time as you can always have another go!
